LA-LIDC can help you achieve your career goals in the field of low incidence disabilities, if:

• you need coursework for initial or add-on certification;
• you are seeking advanced studies or advanced degrees; and/or
• you want to expand your teaching skills through professional development opportunities.

LA-LIDC is focused on the following low incidence disability areas:

• blind/visual impairments;
• deaf/hard of hearing; and
• significant disabilities (including autism and deafblindness).

LA-LIDC utilizes innovative, interactive technology to ensure statewide accessibility of university coursework and professional development in the area of low incidence disabilities.

• Through distance education technology, participants use high-speed internet connections to access real-time
coursework and professional development sessions.
• Stipends are available to help defray costs associated with coursework.
